Overview

Solace is looking for a curriculum developer who has a versatile skillset to create effective e-learning courses and certifications for our Solace Academy as a Technical Curriculum Developer.

Many organizations are rapidly adopting Event Driven Architectures to digitally transform their businesses, and Solace’s PubSub+ Platform is a key player and enabler for businesses to become event driven. But for our customers to use our products effectively for their event-driven journey, they need training that can be taken and consumed bite-size and on-demand, regardless of location.

Solace is expanding its e-learning solutions with extensive hands-on labs, videos and simulations that get customers deep into our platform and technologies. You’ll get to teach and have some fun at the same time! The qualified candidate will have excellent writing skills, a healthy technical knowledge of IT domains, and the ability to translate technical content into easy-to-understand hands-on exercises and compose architecture diagrams. You will have a passion for learning and a strong design ethos.

In This Role, You Will:

• You will be responsible for developing and managing all e-learning courses for customers and partners on Solace Academy
• You will work across our global teams to gather knowledge and content from subject matter experts and package that in interactive online courses with hands-on activities
• Understanding the training needs and requirement for different roles and developing and maintaining curriculums for our targeted audiences
• You will bring in your own creativity, innovative ideas, and thought leadership on how training is absorbed on Solace Academy
• You will be a key influencer on how Solace educates customers and partners on new products and features

What You’ll Bring to the Role:

• Technical degree (e.g. Computer Science or Engineering) or 5 years relevant work experience in the technical industry
• Significant experience in an instructional design/curriculum development role or similar, including creating animations and developing hands-on/labs activities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Desired Skills and Experience:

• High proficiency with e-Learning video creation and support tools (such as Articulate and Camtasia)
• Comfortable operating in new domains with high ambiguity and little direction
• Self-starter, with proven experience of working on program/projects with a geographically dispersed team
• Solid project management skills including, planning work, managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, using time well, working with stakeholders, and doing whatever it takes to deliver reliable results
• Demonstrated experience developing self-paced e-Learning curriculums, storyboards, job aids, online tutorials, and assessments
• Experience in developing certifications, exam blueprints, and question writing skills
