In this role, you will be assigned to the IFS Implementation Project. As the Senior Project Manager for the IFS Implementation Project you will:
- Execute the project management lifecycle.
- Lead the planning, execution, and close-out of project activities.
- Manage project scope, deliverables, schedule and change to achieve project outputs.
- Develop and lead the implementation of project management plans.
- Manage costs and budgets, through effective engagement with project stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on progress of the project to appropriate stakeholders through performance management tools.
- Coordinate stakeholders and subcontractors to deliver on project commitments.
- Ensure that active risk and opportunity management is employed to reduce the impact on schedule and develop recovery plans when issues arise.
- Develop and maintain a close working relationship with project customers and stakeholders.
- Provide oversight and management of business change management. This includes the establishment of the project’s Change Control Board (CCB), as well serving as the CCB chair. Additionally, Organizational Change Management (OCM) responsibilities are a strong requirement of this position.
- Create and manage project related corporate communications, ensuring that the wider stakeholder base is kept informed and involved.
- Ensure compliance with Babcock’s Global Project Management Framework, and local project specific procedures as necessary.
- Ensure all Quality and Health & Safety standards are maintained and communicate Health and Safety issues as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate brings:
- You have a recognized University Degree or College diploma in Project Management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- You have Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in good standing with the Project Management Institute (PMI).
- You have 8+ years of experience in successfully managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders, preferably with experience of delivering IT/IS and/or ERP Projects.
- You are a positive, resilient, and focused individual.
- You have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- You excel in leading difficult discussions and conflict resolution.
- You exhibit leadership qualities and have acted in a mentor capacity in previous assignments.
- You have experience with IFS ERP system (either as a user or implementation lead).
- You have experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
- You have experience managing an external vendor as the main POC.
- You are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products.
- You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.
