Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Project Manager has overall responsibility for the successful planning, execution and monitoring, control and completion of projects. This position takes ownership of day-to-day activities related to the project implementation process from NPI to final completion.  You will work very closely with our engineering, sales, operations and support teams.  You will serve as the main point of contact between Project teams and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

This is an in-office position (not hybrid or remote) based in our Waterloo office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end implementation process, following the ASI NPI process, assuming responsibility for timely project completion, issue identification/resolution, and delivery.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations
  • Loop stakeholder feedback to internal teams
  • Present weekly project status reports
  • Prepares documents including cost estimates, appropriation requests, project schedules.
  • Maintain and develop professional relationships with customers
  • Work closely with internal and external teams
  • Report on variances, changing deadlines

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • 3+ years of Project Management experience
  • PMP certification, or working towards designation
  • Degree in electrical, mechanical or mechatronics engineering
  • Experience in motors and motor controls an asset
  • Bonus points for e-industry experience
  • Previous experience in product management a plus
  • Superior Organizational and Management Skills
  • Strong Computer and Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Ability to travel occasionally without restrictions to U.S. and international
