The Opportunity – Product Owner (In-Office, Hybrid or Remote Available)

In this newly created role and team, you will be reporting to the Vice President, Technology. You will be utilizing bleeding-edge technology and building products that are driven by generative Artificial Intelligence (AI).

You will be responsible for overseeing the development of software and hardware products from conception to launch. You are someone that has a passion for developing product strategies, conducting market research, defining product requirements, and managing the product backlog.

Main Duties

·        Work closely with stakeholders to develop product strategies and roadmaps.

·        Define and prioritize product features and requirements based on business value and customer feedback.

·        Develop and manage the product backlog, ensuring that it is always up-to-date and reflects the latest priorities.

·        Work with cross-functional teams including developers, designers, and testers to ensure that products are delivered on time and meet quality standards.

·        Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to internal and external stakeholders.

·        Continuously analyze market trends and customer feedback to identify new product opportunities and drive product improvements.

·        Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies and ensure successful product launches.

·        Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and drive continuous improvement.

Facilitate maintenance of status quo products.

·        Other responsibilities as assigned and appropriate.

What We Are Looking For

·        Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

·        At least 5 years of experience in product management, preferably in a technology-focused role.

·        Strong technical background with experience working with software development teams.

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams.

·        Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools such as JIRA.

·        Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret data to make informed product decisions.

·        Knowledge of market research and product analytics tools.

·        Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines.

·        Passion for technology and staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends.

Our Head Office is in Calgary and we offer a hybrid-flex work arrangement. Alternatively, this position is eligible for fully-remote within any region in Canada.
