WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

Role: 

CoolIT is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior IT Professional to join our team. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn and grow within the IT field. The candidate will be responsible for managing IT assets, assisting in employee onboarding, and providing day-to-day technical support. An interest in learning the Microsoft Power Platform and a willingness to engage in development tasks are advantageous for this position.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a tech-savvy individual looking to kick-start their career in IT within a fast-paced, fast-growing company. The ideal candidate will showcase a willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to the IT team while gaining valuable hands-on experience.

Responsibilities: 

• Manage IT assets, including hardware, software, and peripheral devices, ensuring proper inventory management and documentation.
• Assist in the onboarding process for new employees, including setting up workstations, accounts, and providing basic training on IT systems and protocols.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for hardware, software, and network-related issues, escalating complex problems to senior team members when necessary.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates, system configurations, and backups, to ensure smooth operations.
• Collaborate with the IT team to contribute to the development and improvement of IT processes and documentation.
• Express a keen interest in learning the Microsoft Power Platform and actively participate in training and development activities related to it.
• Assist in basic development tasks, such as scripting, automation, or low-code application development within the Microsoft Power Platform.

WHO YOU ARE:

Basic Qualifications: 

• Demonstrated eagerness to learn and grow within the IT field, with a passion for technology and a proactive approach to problem-solving. 
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and document IT assets effectively. 
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels to provide technical support. 
• Basic understanding of IT principles, hardware, software, and networking concepts. 
• Desire to explore and learn the Microsoft Power Platform, with a curiosity for low-code development and automation. 
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Relevant certifications or ongoing education in technology.
• Experience in software development, scripting, or workflow automation.

Skills:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to adapt and learn quickly, with a flexible approach to handle various IT tasks and technologies.
