Overview:

Charter is currently seeking one (1) experienced IT Business Analyst for projects starting September 2024. The ideal resource will have 7+ years of experience as a BA in IT, have experience in two (2) or more business transformation projects. Experience creating, planning, and executing testing strategies and leading business SME through the process of User Acceptance Testing is required. Previous experience facilitating business process model discovery, planning workshops, and conducting requirements gathering sessions to elicit Business / Technical requirements would be an asset. Industry certification required: CBAP. Location: Regina, SK (Onsite) Term: 2 years with the potential of 2 years extension.

Responsibilities:

• Support various projects: changes to business systems/processes, IT/infrastructure etc.
• Help Business users understand the business process.
• Document Use Cases based on Business Process and Workflow Models.
• Elicit, document, manage and communicate functional and non-functional requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Verify solutions meet the requirements and quantify the benefits and costs of each solution.
• Create and document feasibility studies, business cases, technical assessments, RFX. requirements, project charters, user manuals, system manuals, policies, processes, and procedures, etc.
• Create, coordinate, and execute test scripts, to verify that system and business applications meet specific requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 7+ years of experience as a BA in IT and have experience on two (2) or more business transformation projects.
• Education: Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification. (Mandatory)
• Experience in creating, planning, and executing testing strategies and in leading business subject matter expert through the process of User Acceptance Testing.
• Experience participating and facilitating business process model discovery and planning workshops and requirements gathering sessions to elicit business and technical requirements with an emphasis of understanding the business priorities.
• Experience communicating technical concepts to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences to various levels within an organization.
• Experience preparing project documents including, but not limited to, testing plans, and use cases and user stories based on business processes.
• Experience analyzing business requirements and translating into business rules.
• Experience defining and outlining the scope of the business problem, opportunity, business outcome and identifying solution alternatives.
• Experience coordinating and executing test scripts and utilizing formal testing methodologies to verify that system and business applications meet specific requirements.
• Experience preparing the business for change by conducting organizational readiness activities.
• Experience developing training, training materials, and facilitating training for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working with Microsoft Azure DevOps is considered an asset.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) in English is required.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada.
