About the Job: 

Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Business Systems Specialist is responsible for managing OTTO’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system – EPICOR/Kinetic.

The responsibilities include:

1. Identification, analyzing, planning and implementing process improvements  
2. Evaluation and modeling of existing and future state processes
3. Organizing, leading and facilitating cross-functional projects  
4. Development and maturity of metrics to provide data for process management and indicators for future improvement opportunities
5. Collection of data to identify root cause problems 
6. Measurement of performance against process requirements, alignment of improvement projects to close performance shortfalls  
7. Identification and management of internal and external resources – including cross-functional members to successfully execute projects
8. Provide consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality  
9. Deployment plans from conception through to close; and
10. Prepare and deliver presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control courses.

Following our acquisition by Rockwell Automation, this role will play a crucial part in the integration project, transitioning from our current ERP system, Epicor/Kinetic….to Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing (SAP).

Additional Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System Management:

• Be the subject matter expert and “Internal Champion” of Epicor.
• Maintain relationships with ERP consultants for complex solutions

System Upgrades and Maintenance:

• Conduct testing prior to upgrades to minimize business disruption.
• Manage escalated issues and coordinate with support for solutions.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

• Degree in Business, Finance or Operations and Material Management
• 5+ years of work related experience – including ERP systems – EPICOR experience would be an asset
• Proven track record in process improvement and system customization
• Background in Operations (Supply Chain, Logistics, Inventory, Quality, Production) is an asset
• Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency in managing system upgrades
• Excellent communication skills with cross-functional teams
• Strong documentation and training capabilities; and
• Positive and encouraging attitude.
