Reporting to the Leader, Infrastructure Operations, the Business Analyst Intern will be part of a dynamic team of senior engineers, developers and operations professionals designing, building, implementing and supporting critical systems and platforms supporting several lines of business. This opportunity will allow you to participate in various projects and initiatives, working in fast paced agile setting with the Client Managers, Architects and Technical specialists to understand, gather and document requirements.  

You’ll be responsible for:  

• Brainstorming, conceptualizing and documenting business and technology frameworks and models
• Performing gap analysis, building business flows of current and future state for resulting solutions
• Facilitating user sessions and group meetings; ensuring issues are identified, tracked, reported on, and resolved in a timely manner
• Developing roadmaps, capacity plans and long-term integration goals for systems and software
• Working with limited direction, establish priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic team environment
• Maintaining and documenting processes; applying relevant business, technology and other enterprise expertise
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver effective solutions
• Acting as a scrum master running daily scrums as well as assisting in sprint planning
• Providing support for various projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and meet quality standards

You bring:

• Currently completing an undergraduate degree from an accredited Canadian post-secondary institution with a focus on Information Systems, Finance, Business Administration, or a similar program
• Basic knowledge of Cloud computing platforms, technologies and tools supporting the continuous integration and delivery of business applications
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, perform quantitative analysis, and generate actionable insights
• Experience working in JIRA for issue tracking and project management, and basic exposure to Confluence for documentation and team collaboration.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey ideas clearly and effectively to diverse audiences
• Experience with Agile Scrum and Kanban-driven delivery models, including familiarity with Agile principles and Kanban boards
• Knowledge in applying structured methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile for the identification of user requirements, development of specifications, and feasibility studies
• A willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges, technologies, and business processes
• Although not required, you have some familiarity or previous experience with the following:
  • Programming languages such as JAVA and PYTHON
