Position Purpose:
The Business Analyst has responsibility to advise and assist in execution of corporate level forecasting and replenishment strategies supporting the department forecast analysts and replenishment analysts. The analyst will determine and maintain SAP auto-replenishment system policies. Act as Subject Matter Expert in Supply Chain principles and have an in depth knowledge of SAP. The Business Analyst will also be expected to deliver complex analytics to support business objectives.
Position Responsibilities:
- Monitor and support day-to-day issues encountered by the dept line analysts
- Provide SAP user guidance and expertise to the IPR Team.
- Be seen as an active lead Analyst on the team, be the visible “go-to” person for direction on day to day support for Replenishment and Forecast Analysts.
- Sets corporate level replenishment policies ensuring all areas are able to meet inventory and service level metrics
- Provide process oversight for various forecasting and replenishment procedures to ensure high quality process outputs
- Perform complex analytics and deliver recommendations based on sound Supply Chain principles.
- Recommend and assist in the implementation of best practices for the IPR team.
- Maintain the Forecasting & Replenishment systems
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
- Represent the IPR group as Subject Matter Experts in Supply Chain initiatives and projects.
Knowledge/Experience Required:
- Internal Candidates: Must fulfill minimum time-in-position (1 year) and performance management code requirements (M+, Meets Expectations and Consistently Demonstrates)
- 3+ years of analytical experience (ideally in a retail environment) with emphasis on inventory management, forecasting, demand management and/or replenishment.
- University or College Degree in business computer sciences will be considered as a preferred qualification
- SAP knowledge (Retail or Manufacturing) is required.
- Intermediate proficiency with MS Excel and/or MS Access
- Experience in project management an asset
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to extrapolate pertinent information from various sources (reports and spreadsheets) and analyze data for recommendations.
- Experience with financial analysis and quantitative skills, including ability to produce and review sales analysis (turns, sales, gross margin, etc.) and other analytical techniques to assist in making key forecast and replenishment decisions.
- Excellent communication skills; collaborative with effective interpersonal skills; able to work across departments.
